Studios Membership Terms

Automatic renewal summary

  • Price: $3.00 USD per month. If tax applies, it is shown before you pay.
  • Billing: charged through PayPal on the day you join, then every month on or about the same day.
  • Automatic renewal: your membership renews automatically every month and you will be charged each month until you cancel.
  • How to cancel: at any time, from the “Manage membership” pop-up on otwonostudios.com or in your PayPal account (automatic payments settings). Cancelling stops future charges. You keep access until the end of the month you have already paid for.
  • Refunds: no refunds for partial months, except where the law requires them.
  • Your price is locked: as long as your membership continues, you keep the price you joined at, even if the public price goes up (see section 6).

1. About these terms

1.1. These Studios Membership Terms (“Membership Terms”) apply to the paid OTWONO Studios membership (“Membership”) offered by OTWONO Enterprises LLC (“OTWONO”, “we”, “us” or “our”). They add to the OTWONO Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.

1.2. By selecting Join and completing payment, you agree to these Membership Terms and authorize the recurring charges described here.

2. Who can join

2.1. You need a free OTWONO account to join. Your Membership is linked to that account.

2.2. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian join for you.

3. Price and billing

3.1. The Membership currently costs $3.00 USD per month. Prices are in US dollars. If tax applies to your purchase, it is shown before you pay.

3.2. Billing is handled by PayPal subscriptions. When you join, PayPal charges you the first month right away. After that, PayPal charges you automatically every month, on or about the same day of the month you joined, until you cancel.

3.3. You authorize OTWONO, through PayPal, to charge your chosen payment method each month for your Membership price, plus any applicable tax shown to you.

3.4. Your PayPal account and payment are also subject to PayPal’s terms.

4. Automatic renewal

4.1. Your Membership renews automatically every month and continues until you cancel. Each renewal is charged at your Locked Price (see section 6).

4.2. You can see your Membership status and next billing date in the “Manage membership” pop-up on otwonostudios.com and in your PayPal account.

5. Membership benefits

5.1. Benefits currently include:

  • early access to new Bad Orbit episodes, which we plan to release to members two weeks to a month before public release;
  • live synced lyrics in the album player;
  • the Members’ Vault: the Lyric Book, the Art Book, wallpapers and full resolution album art;
  • episode scripts;
  • behind-the-story pages; and
  • private artwork galleries.

5.2. Early access timing is a plan, not a promise. Release dates can move, and the early access period for a given episode may be shorter or longer.

5.3. Benefits may change. We may add new benefits and change or retire existing ones as OTWONO Studios grows. If we remove or substantially reduce a benefit, we will tell members in advance, and you may cancel if you no longer want the Membership.

5.4. Content in the Members’ Vault and other member areas is for your personal, non-commercial use only. The license terms and prohibited uses in the Terms of Sale and Digital Music License (sections 7 and 8) apply to it in the same way, including the ban on redistribution, commercial use and AI training.

6. Legacy price rule (your locked price)

6.1. Your Locked Price is the monthly Membership price you agreed to pay when you joined (or, if you rejoin, when you last rejoined).

6.2. We will not raise your Locked Price while your Membership continues. If OTWONO raises the public Membership price, your Locked Price stays the same for every renewal for as long as your Membership continues without ending, even when new members pay more.

6.3. Your Membership “continues” as long as it renews each month without being cancelled and without ending because of failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, PayPal retries it. A payment that PayPal collects on a retry does not break your Membership.

6.4. If your Membership ends and you later rejoin, you pay the public price at the time you rejoin. That price becomes your new Locked Price. Your Membership, and your Locked Price with it, ends when:

  • you cancel and your last paid month runs out;
  • your Membership is suspended or cancelled because of failed payments; or
  • we end it under section 9.

6.5. The Locked Price applies to the Studios Membership and its benefits as they evolve. It does not cover different or new plans, such as a future plan that bundles several OTWONO sites. We will not move you to a different plan or price without your agreement.

6.6. Taxes are not part of the Locked Price. If a tax applies or changes, it is added on top as required by law and shown before you pay.

6.7. If the public price drops below your Locked Price, your price stays the same, and you can cancel and join again at the lower price. The lower price then becomes your new Locked Price.

6.8. If you join during a sale, the sale price you pay is your Locked Price, and you keep it for as long as your Membership continues.

7. How to cancel

7.1. You can cancel at any time, in either of these ways:

  • On otwonostudios.com: sign in, open the “Manage membership” pop-up and choose to cancel; or
  • In PayPal: sign in to your PayPal account, go to your automatic payments settings, find OTWONO and cancel.

7.2. Cancelling stops all future charges. Your cancellation is confirmed on screen in the “Manage membership” pop-up, and PayPal confirms it by email.

7.3. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the month you have already paid for. Then your Membership ends.

7.4. Files you have already downloaded from the Members’ Vault remain yours to keep for your personal use under section 5.4. Your access to the Members’ Vault and other member areas ends when your last paid month ends.

7.5. Cancelling ends your Locked Price once your paid month runs out (see section 6.4).

7.6. Closing your OTWONO account, signing out or clearing your browser does not cancel the PayPal subscription by itself. Please cancel using one of the ways above. If you need help, email billing@otwonostudios.com.

8. Refunds

8.1. We do not give refunds or credits for partial months or unused time, except where the law requires them.

8.2. If you were charged in error, such as a duplicate charge or a charge after you cancelled, email billing@otwonostudios.com and we will refund the incorrect charge.

9. Failed payments, suspension and ending a Membership

9.1. If a renewal payment fails, PayPal retries it. Member benefits may be paused until payment succeeds. If your Membership is suspended or cancelled because of failed payments, it ends, and your Locked Price ends when your Membership ends.

9.2. We may suspend or end a Membership if you seriously or repeatedly break these Membership Terms or the Terms of Service, for example by sharing member-only content. If we end your Membership for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of your current month.

9.3. If we stop offering the Membership altogether, we will give members at least 30 days’ notice, stop future charges, and refund any unused part of a paid month.

10. Changes to these Membership Terms

10.1. We may update these Membership Terms. For material changes, we will post the updated terms on otwonostudios.com and notify members by email at least 30 days before the change affects their next renewal.

10.2. Because of the legacy price rule, a price increase never applies to an existing member whose Membership continues.

10.3. If you do not agree to a change, you can cancel before it takes effect.
